What Sets Mawar Apart

Why Families Choose to Stay With Us

The difference is rarely dramatic. It is in the small things: the named companion your relative recognises, the update that arrives before you have to ask, the invoice that contains no surprises.

Six Reasons

What Mawar Brings to the Arrangement

Experienced, Vetted Companions

Every companion joining Mawar goes through a structured interview, a background review, and a paid trial period before working independently with any older adult. We do not use agency supply staff.

Structured Programmes, Not Ad Hoc Visits

Each programme has a defined scope, a schedule, and a deliverable (activity calendar, contact log, or task list). The older adult and the family both know what to expect and when.

Families Kept Informed Without Chasing

Written updates and monthly summaries go to the designated family contact after every visit cycle. There is no need to call us to find out how things went — we send it without prompting.

Adjustable at Any Point

Circumstances change. If a programme needs to be paused, reduced, or combined with another, we adjust it with reasonable notice. There are no lock-in periods or hidden exit penalties.

Deep Local Knowledge

Our team knows Kuala Lumpur's neighbourhoods, community centres, parks, and local facilities. This is not generic knowledge — it is the practical familiarity that makes outings and errands go smoothly.

Private and Discreet by Default

Personal information about your relative is kept strictly within the programme team. We comply with Malaysia's Personal Data Protection Act 2010 and share information only with the contacts the family designates.

Our People

Companions Who Are Consistent, Not Interchangeable

Many home support arrangements work like a roster: whoever is available that day comes to the door. Over time, that erodes comfort. Older adults do not always find it easy to re-explain their preferences to someone new.

Mawar keeps a small, stable team and pairs each older adult with the same companion or pair of companions throughout the programme. If a companion is unavailable, we notify the family in advance and discuss how to proceed — we do not simply substitute without explanation.

  • Named companion from day one
  • Structured introduction visit before programme starts
  • Substitution only with advance family notice
  • Companion background reviewed before engagement
  • Written update after every visit cycle
  • Monthly summary report for family
  • Single coordination contact — no phone tree
  • Monthly review call to discuss any adjustments
Communication

Information That Flows Without You Having to Ask

Families who live apart from an older relative often find themselves in an uncomfortable loop: they want to know how things are going, but they do not want to call so often it feels intrusive. And they worry about what they might not be hearing.

Mawar's built-in update structure removes that loop. Information comes to you at a predictable rhythm, in a readable format. You can ask questions, request more detail, or simply read the summary and move on with your day.

Pricing

Honest Pricing With Nothing Hidden

Mawar's three programmes are priced clearly in Malaysian Ringgit: RM 480 for Social Engagement, RM 1,600 for Regular Check-ins, and RM 4,700 for Daily Living Support Coordination. Each price covers the full programme scope — there are no add-on charges for updates, coordination calls, or written reports.

Monthly invoices are issued with a clear breakdown. If anything changes mid-month, we tell you before it affects the invoice.

  • Flat monthly pricing — no hourly surprises
  • Updates and reports included in every programme
  • Invoice sent at start of each month
  • Changes communicated before billing

Four Things You Will Not Find Everywhere

Activity Calendar Shared in Advance

For our Social Engagement Programme, the month's activity calendar is sent to the family before the month begins — not after. You know what is planned, you can comment, and your relative knows what to look forward to.

Trilingual Communication

Our team communicates in English, Bahasa Malaysia, and Mandarin. In many Malaysian households, the older adult and the younger generation speak in different languages. We work in whichever language the individual is most comfortable with.

The Older Adult's Comfort as the Deciding Factor

If the person receiving support is not comfortable with any part of the programme, we stop that element and discuss with the family. The older adult is not a passive recipient — they have a genuine say in how the arrangement works.

Monthly Review as Standard

Every programme includes a monthly review call with the family — not just a written summary. We use that time to ask whether anything needs to change, what the family has noticed, and whether the current rhythm is working well.
