Why Families Choose Mawar

Thoughtful Support, Clearly Arranged

Consistent, Named Companions

Your relative works with a small, familiar team rather than a revolving roster of strangers. Consistency builds comfort over time.

Family Kept Informed

Written summaries and a single coordination contact mean no chasing, no guesswork — just clear, timely information for the people who matter.

Flexible Around Your Schedule

Programmes are shaped around the family's preferences and the older adult's own rhythm. Adjustments are straightforward to arrange.

Calm, Unhurried Communication

Every conversation — whether with the older adult or the family — is carried out at a comfortable pace. No pressure, no jargon.

Based in Kuala Lumpur

Local knowledge matters. Our team understands the neighbourhood rhythms, local amenities, and community spaces across the Klang Valley.

Respectful of Independence

Support is arranged around what the older adult is comfortable with. Their preferences guide how we work, not the other way around.

Would a Quiet Conversation Help?

Many families start by simply asking a question or two. There is no obligation, no sales pitch — just a straightforward chat about what would be most useful for your family.

Common Questions

What Families Usually Ask First

How do I know which programme is the right fit?
We always begin with a short, informal conversation — by phone or in person — to understand what a typical week looks like for your relative and what the family most wants to feel reassured about. From there, we suggest the arrangement that seems most sensible. There is no pressure to decide straightaway.
Can the programme be adjusted after it starts?
Yes. Circumstances change, and so can the arrangement. If the frequency of check-ins needs to shift, or if certain household tasks become less relevant, we adjust the programme accordingly. We ask families to let us know with reasonable notice so schedules can be reorganised smoothly.
Do I need to be present during visits?
Not at all. Many of our families live in a different part of the country — or abroad. Companions visit independently, and updates are shared with the family afterwards. We establish access arrangements directly with the older adult and, where appropriate, a trusted local contact.
What kind of activities does the Social Engagement Programme include?
Activities are shaped around the individual's interests and mobility. Common outings include morning walks in local parks, visits to community centres, Raya or festive gatherings, craft or reading circles, and nearby market trips. The activity calendar is shared with the family in advance each month.
How is my relative's personal information handled?
Contact details, household preferences, and update notes are held securely and shared only with the immediate family contact you designate. We do not pass personal information to third parties. Full details are in our Privacy Policy.
How are payments arranged?
Programmes are billed monthly in Malaysian Ringgit. We accept bank transfer via DuitNow or direct interbank transfer. An invoice is issued at the beginning of each month. We are happy to discuss billing arrangements that work for your family.
